NE Info @ 4/16/18 Report cards were issued on Monday (4/16). Requirements for promotion to the next grade are included as a note on the bottom of the report card. Please review the report, sign, and return it to your child's teacher. As always, please contact us if there is a concern about your child's academic performance. Next week awards programs for quarterly awards will occur on Tuesday, April 24th - 6th grade Wednesday, April 25th - 7th grade Thursday, April 26th - 8th grade All programs will begin just after 2 p.m. in the gym. Congratulations to social studies teacher Ms. Tonda Hinson who has been recognized as a "Hometown Hero"! Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25th to hear the band's Spring performance. At the end of the day on Friday, April 27th we'll be having a Spring pep rally. We're greeting rising sixth graders at 5 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1st. Band meetings for entering students will also be held at 4 and 6 p.m. Your PTO is sponsoring the annual faculty/staff appreciation lunch on Monday, May 7th and they ask for parent donations of desserts for the date. We now have just fewer than 30 school days until state testing begins. Contact our receptionist (336-622-5808, c1mckenzie@randolph.k12.nc.us) to sign up to proctor on May 29, 30, 31, and/or June 1. Proctors will be entered in drawings for prizes such as a massage and restaurant gift cards (such as Starbucks and Di'lishi Yogurt). We are especially appreciative to Wet 'n Wild Water Park for their significant contribution. We need all of our students to be present on those testing dates as well. We want all of our students to score at Level 3 or higher on the end-of-grade and end-of-course assessments but wanted to go ahead and advise that a summer math academy is planned for students scoring below the proficient level for remediation prior to moving to the next grade level. Dates of the academy will be June 18th through the 21st. It's just one more reason to do your best on the road to success!
