NE Info @ 5/15/18 Thank you for all of the ways you honored our teachers and other staff last week. Thanks, especially, to PTO and others who put together last Monday’s lunch and to our student government who served up breakfast on Friday! Good luck to our girls’ soccer team as they compete in this week’s tournament! Support your PTO! Purchase and pick up Krispy Kreme by the dozen at the car rider line on Friday morning. Also on Friday rising 9th graders are invited to a Providence Grove basketball interest meeting at 12:20 in our cafeteria. Tentatively, Providence Grove’s cross country meeting will be at 12:40 on Friday. Parents of Math 1 students who have signed up for the afternoon review sessions for next week - Please make sure transportation arrangements are in place for 4:30 Monday through Thursday. IMPORTANT: Parents of current sixth graders - Please make sure that your child has received the vaccinations required by the state to enter seventh grade. If the vaccinations have not been given already, please make a summer appointment with your child’s physician. The nurse will collect your proof of vaccination, so please send in that print out from your child’s doctor’s office. Testing begins for sixth and seventh grade students on Friday, May 25th with math placement testing. All students will be testing Tuesday through Friday after Memorial Day. Breakfast is free on the four school-wide testing dates (May 29-June 1). May 25th is the final date for cafeteria charges and books must be returned to the media center. Contact Danny Martin (dmartin@randolph.k12.nc.us) at Providence Grove High School about the golf tournament coming up this Saturday as well as athletic physicals to be offered after school (3:30-5:30) on Tuesday, May 29th. The lost and found collection will be cleared June 1st to prepare for summer cleaning. Upcoming dates including awards programs have been added to our school’s calendar on the webpage: http://nerms.randolph.k12.nc.us/ The four day summer schedule for the Randolph County School System begins June 18 and runs through August 10. Offices will be open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. And the most important update of all this week? Keep giving us your best on the road to success!
