On Wednesday, December 3, Northeastern Randolph Middle School held its first-ever Special Olympics Parade of Athletes to celebrate Ms. Mac/York’s class. To help students feel comfortable and encouraged, they were cheered on by the homerooms of BETA Advisors Dani Spaun and Eliza Sanders, along with more than 20 BETAs who volunteered to participate. The Patriot Cheerleaders, their coach Tonda Hinson and her homeroom, as well as many staff and faculty members, also lined the halls to show their support.
This event marks the beginning of a tradition we hope will grow each year, involving more and more of our Patriots in celebrating inclusion and achievement.
Northeastern Randolph Middle School feeds into Providence Grove High School, where this celebration has been a longstanding tradition. NE is proud to add to this tradition to help our students and community grow and strengthen.
